Forensic Filer supports Statewide reporting systems for State level departments that are seeking to collect forensic information from multiple counties in an effort to gain a greater understanding of causes of death by using a much larger data sample than what would be available from a single county.
Statewide reporting links the data provided from multiple counties into a single database. This data can then be used to study overall trends and factors related to causes of death on a statewide level. Many states are now collecting data on a statewide level. Software applications such as Forensic Filer provide a method of aggregation for this purpose.
* State level access to county data is only available if a county signs a data sharing agreement with their state office.
